Levi’s 501 Original Straight Jeans

A particularly good dark blue pair: the original one-wash indigo has developed natural fading and subtle wear while keeping plenty of deep blue colour. The denim is thick, substantial and still very healthy, with the structured feel that suits the classic Levi’s shape. Classic 501 silhouette with a 31 cm front rise, generous seat and a clean straight leg ending at 21 cm. The measurements give these a proper full straight shape rather than the slimmer interpretation found on some newer 501s. Made in Turkey (code T01) around 2001 from 100% cotton denim. Original 501-0101 One Wash version, button fly, small-e Red Tab and Two-horse back patch. Very good vintage condition with normal fading and surface wear from use. The denim remains strong, including the crotch, inner thighs and hems. There was one small hole beside the right back pocket; it was stitched closed and covered with an original 1990s Levi’s Authentic Jeans Wear patch taken from a Levi’s shirt. Repair was done by me, it’s a custom detail, not an original factory feature. Tagged size: W38 L36 Fits close to the tagged waist: 47 cm flat / approximately 94 cm circumference, roughly W37 by actual measurement.
